Litecoin launched in October 2011, written by former Google engineer Charlie Lee as a lighter version of Bitcoin, and it remains one of the most widely accepted coins at offshore casinos open to Canadian players. Our ranking of the best Canadian crypto casinos covers twelve operators, and eleven of them name LTC in the coin lists or documents we hold; the twelfth, BC.Game, advertises more than 120 coins without an itemised list we could read. Here is why LTC costs less to move than Bitcoin, what confirmations mean for a deposit, and how the eleven compare once you look past the coin list.
Key takeaways
- Litecoin appears for 11 of our 12 ranked casinos; BC.Game is the only one without an itemised coin list in our data.
- Litecoin targets a block every 150 seconds against Bitcoin’s 600, and its network fee commonly stays at a few cents or less.
- Each casino and exchange chooses how many LTC confirmations to wait for, and none of the twelve states that number in the terms we read.
- Ordinary Litecoin addresses start with L, M or ltc1; an address starting with “ltcmweb1” belongs to the MWEB privacy layer, which many platforms cannot pay out to.
- Three of the eleven LTC casinos show an Active Curaçao certificate in our records: BitStarz, Stake and Wild.io.
Why Litecoin works as a low-fee stand-in for Bitcoin
150% first-deposit bonus and 100 free spins
The casino matches your first crypto deposit by 150% up to 1.5 BTC and adds 100 free spins on top. Deposits land on the first network confirmation.
Get your bonus at the casinoLitecoin started as a fork of Bitcoin’s code, so it behaves the same way underneath: coins move as unspent outputs, fees are paid per byte of transaction data, and wallets follow the same logic. Lee changed three settings that matter at a casino cashier. Blocks target 150 seconds instead of 600, the supply cap is 84 million coins rather than 21 million, and mining runs on the Scrypt algorithm instead of SHA-256.
Plenty of spare block space is the main reason the fee stays low. On an ordinary day a Litecoin transfer commonly costs a few cents or less, while a Bitcoin fee can climb sharply whenever its blocks fill up. The gap matters most on small deposits, since a network cost that is trivial on CAD 2,000 can be a visible slice of CAD 40. Ethereum has its own small-deposit problem for different reasons, and our Ethereum casino guide for Canada explains how gas pricing feeds into it.
Litecoin has also tended to adopt Bitcoin upgrades early. Segregated Witness activated on Litecoin in May 2017, about three months ahead of Bitcoin, and the block reward halves every 840,000 blocks; the most recent halving, in August 2023, cut it from 12.5 to 6.25 LTC.
Confirmations: what the count means for your deposit
A confirmation is a block added on top of the one holding your transaction. Every platform decides how many it wants before crediting LTC, and the number is theirs to set. BitStarz clause 8.6.2 adds a wrinkle worth knowing: all earlier deposits must be confirmed before a withdrawal is allowed, so an LTC deposit still gathering confirmations can also hold up a cash-out.
The clock arithmetic is easy to remember. Six Litecoin confirmations take roughly the same time as one and a half Bitcoin blocks, because Litecoin’s target interval is a quarter of Bitcoin’s. Blocks arrive at random around that target, so any single confirmation can come sooner or later than the average suggests.
If a deposit has not appeared, paste its TXID into a Litecoin block explorer before you contact support. When the explorer shows the transaction gathering confirmations, the casino is waiting on its own count or running a review. When the explorer shows nothing at all, the coins never left your wallet or exchange. Either way, put the TXID in any support ticket you open.
Which of the twelve list Litecoin
The coin column comes from our comparison table and the operator records we keep; the licence column reflects those records as they stood in late August and early September 2026.
| Casino (our score) | LTC in our data | Licence in our records |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Vave (5.0) | Yes, alongside BTC, ETH, USDT, DOGE and TON | No Curaçao certificate names vave.com itself |
| 2. BitStarz (4.3) | Yes | Curaçao OGL/2024/165/0185, Gareton B.V., Active |
| 3. Jackbit (4.0) | Yes | Curaçao OGL/2024/1800/1049 |
| 4. Stake (3.9) | Yes | Curaçao OGL/2024/1451/0918, Active |
| 5. BC.Game (3.8) | Not itemised (120+ coins advertised) | Curaçao OGL/2023/118/0060 shows Revoked; Anjouan licence expires 1 October 2026 |
| 6. TrustDice (3.6) | Yes | Curaçao |
| 7. Roobet (3.4) | Yes | Unresolved |
| 8. Lucky Block (3.4) | Yes | No licence we could verify |
| 9. Mega Dice (3.3) | Yes | No record in either register |
| 10. Wild.io (3.0) | Yes, in clause 4.1 of its terms | Curaçao OGL/2024/210/0198, Nonce Gaming B.V., Active |
| 11. CryptoReels (1.8) | Yes | Anjouan, dated to expire 15 September 2026 |
| 12. Crypto Loko (1.3) | Yes | No record in either register |
The table shows why a coin list is a weak reason to pick a casino. LTC is close to universal here, so the useful filter is the right-hand column, where three of the eleven Litecoin casinos show an Active Curaçao certificate. Jackbit and TrustDice list Curaçao licences without a register status in the records we use, and Jackbit’s terms could not be read at all, so we can say nothing about its verification rules.
Lower down, the picture gets thinner. Roobet’s licence position is unresolved in our records, Lucky Block, Mega Dice and Crypto Loko have no register entry we could confirm, and CryptoReels depends on an Anjouan licence whose renewal you should check. None of that stops a Litecoin deposit from working; it changes who you can turn to if a withdrawal stalls.
Address formats, and the MWEB trap
Litecoin uses three address styles you are likely to meet. Legacy addresses start with L, script addresses with M, and native SegWit addresses with ltc1. Any of these will take an ordinary deposit, provided the cashier or exchange generated it for Litecoin.
Older script addresses beginning with 3 are the first catch, because a Bitcoin wallet accepts them as valid Bitcoin addresses. Sending BTC to a Litecoin address starting with 3, or LTC to a Bitcoin one, is a cross-chain error that the receiving platform may or may not be able to unwind. Litecoin introduced the M prefix in 2018 largely to end that confusion, so use M or ltc1 formats whenever you have the choice.
The second catch is newer. Since May 2022 Litecoin has supported MimbleWimble Extension Blocks, an optional privacy layer whose addresses begin with “ltcmweb1”. Many exchanges and casino cashiers cannot send to MWEB addresses, and some cannot credit coins that arrive from them. If your wallet holds an MWEB balance, move it back to a regular address before depositing, and keep ltcmweb1 addresses out of casino withdrawal forms unless the platform says it supports them.
Sizing an LTC deposit: minimums and price
The terms we read contain no LTC-specific minimum at any of the twelve. Wild.io’s clause 4.9 states that the minimum for each currency is shown on that currency’s deposit page, so the per-coin floor is whatever the cashier displays on the day. The general minimums in our table are modest: about C$10 at Lucky Block, $10 at TrustDice and Roobet, $20 at Wild.io and $35 at CryptoReels.
Price then decides how much LTC those floors require. Litecoin reached about US$410 at its May 2021 peak and has spent long stretches since then below a quarter of that level. An 84 million cap limits how many coins can exist; it does nothing to hold the price steady. A balance kept in LTC will therefore be worth a different number of Canadian dollars at withdrawal than at deposit, even if your play broke exactly even.
You buy LTC for CAD on a Canadian exchange, typically after an identity check and an Interac e-Transfer or bank transfer into the account. For Litecoin specifically, three settings deserve a look before you send:
- The network: choose Litecoin itself, not a wrapped LTC token on BNB Smart Chain or another chain, unless the cashier explicitly asks for that token.
- The address: an L, M or ltc1 address generated by the casino for this deposit, never an ltcmweb1 one.
- The fee: exchanges usually charge a flat LTC amount to withdraw, so weigh it against the size of your deposit.
My Litecoin shortlist
Litecoin support does not separate these casinos, so my order leans on licence status and on how much the terms actually tell you.
- Stake (3.9): an Active Curaçao licence and LTC among 20+ coins; its verification rules are not stated in the terms we read.
- BitStarz (4.3): operating since 2014 and licensed through Gareton B.V.; clause 8.6.8 ties each coin’s minimum to the deposit page.
- TrustDice (3.6): LTC listed and a Curaçao licence, though its verification threshold is not stated in the terms we read.
- Wild.io (3.0): LTC written into clause 4.1, withdrawal ceilings in clause 9.6 of $100,000 per seven days, and a provably fair tag.
- Jackbit (4.0): a listed Curaçao licence number, but with unreadable terms it is a choice made on less information.
If you play dice or crash-style originals with LTC, our explainer on how provably fair games can be checked shows how to verify a result yourself. BC.Game carries that tag as well, but its Curaçao certificate shows Revoked, and I would weigh that before its coin range. For players who want Bitcoin itself rather than its lighter cousin, the same ranking doubles as our list of the best bitcoin casino sites in Canada, since all twelve accept BTC.
Frequently asked questions
Is Litecoin cheaper than Bitcoin for casino deposits?
Usually, yes. Both chains charge by transaction size, but Litecoin blocks are rarely full, so its fee tends to stay at a few cents or less while Bitcoin’s rises with demand. Withdrawal fees set by the casino or exchange are separate and differ by platform.
How many confirmations does an LTC deposit need?
Whatever the receiving platform sets. The terms we read at the twelve do not publish a number, though a cashier’s deposit history usually shows the count rising.
Can I send Litecoin to a Bitcoin address?
No. The two are separate blockchains, and coins sent across them may be unrecoverable. Legacy script addresses starting with 3 look valid on both, which is the trap to watch.
Does Litecoin need a memo or destination tag?
It does not. An LTC transfer needs only a correct address on the Litecoin network, so a withdrawal form asking for a tag usually means the wrong coin is selected.
Does Litecoin’s 84 million cap protect my balance?
The cap limits issuance, not price. LTC can move by double-digit percentages within a week, so the CAD value of a Litecoin balance can shift while you play.
